History
Snell and Associates Architects is located within the historic Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Taylor, Alabama, a landmark originally constructed in 1884. The space reflects a thoughtful balance between preservation and purposeful design, honoring the building’s rich history while adapting it for modern use.
Led by architect Billy Snell, the renovation was approached with a deep respect for the structure’s original character. One of its most distinctive features is the original pine wood flooring, which was carefully reclaimed and repurposed into a striking ceiling element—preserving the craftsmanship of the past in a refined and meaningful way.
Today, Snell and Associates Architects operates within a space that embodies its philosophy: honoring tradition, valuing craftsmanship, and creating designs that stand the test of time.
